More than Fifty one Years have gone by, since we have started our Durga Puja Festivals on one of the posh localities of Jadavpur, namely Santoshpur Avenue – adjacent of SANTOSHPUR LAKE. The name “LAKE PALLY SARBOJANIN DURGOTSAV COMMITTEE” is on the lips of all the visitors who come out on the street during the puja days. Infact, our Puja Pandel, the Decorations, the Deity and the total surroundings have all along been great crowdpullar. We have always instilled new ideas on construction of the pandel and contemplation of Image and this has always earned all round praise and appreciation.

The Lake Pally Sarbojonin Durgatsav Committee of Santoshpur has a legacy of Spreading the favour and spirit of Durga Puja for the last forty-nine years. For the several years, our endeavour has been to introduce a different jet relevant theme to our Puja Pandal to make the experience meaningful as well as heartrending for the visitors. The old and young, the learned and the ignorant, the professional as well as the daily Wage earner; people from all walks of life residing in this locality give their devoted Service to this committee because it is a COMMITTEE WITH A MISSION.

In the past years it has made Aid-distribution among the needy and the sick, Tree plantation programme, various competition to encourage people for more art and cultural practice like Alpana Utsav, Food Festival etc. Free BLOOD DONATION CAMP, FREE MEDICAL CHECKUP WITH MEDICINE, BLOOD GROUP CAMP WITH FREE TESTING of TC, DC, ESR, HB%, BLOOD SUGAR, UREA, COLESTROL, and BILIRUBIN & ECG. has also been arranged both in the past and in the present. Keeping its social commitments is one of the most important mottos of the COMMITTEE.
